CPA Talent Launches!

The day has arrived that we launch a new way of recruiting, connecting, and supporting candidates and employers after the placement. This new approach of "Working Together to Reach the Summit of Opportunity", is led by a CEO from inside the CPA profession, who also credits his experience to being a former CFO for manufacturing firms with both a national and international reach. CPA Talent is designed to place accounting and finance candidates in the right position for both the candidate and the employer while providing support to both parties even after the placement is completed.

In today's HR climate, the focus is on finding warm bodies to plug a massive hole of need in any way possible. The candidate starts, the recruiter moves on, the employer tries to figure the best path forward with their new recruit, and usually what happens next, the candidate figures it out on their own. That does not work.

All it does is lead to frustration and a cycle that never ends. We need to find solutions to understand the bigger picture - why is a candidate looking, why does a firm have an opening or openings, is the candidate in the right industry or practice (private v. public accounting), is the situation/opportunity the right fit, what is the firm's culture, does the firm's culture fit with the candidate, etc. It comes down to are we trying to stick a square peg in a round hole. That does not and will not work as it stands today.

The solution is not to just hire someone that can plug a hole - candidates need to find the right opportunity to offer a full and lasting career opportunity, and the employer needs to find someone with the right skill set (tangible and intangible) to help repair the hole ASAP while keeping an eye out for any new ones in the future.
